Hello Summer!

The following email is what my friend is planning to send out to all of her contacts to start the bidding! If you have anyone who may be interested in these items, please forward it along and have them email me at liveinbloom@ymail.com with their bid.

Have a wonderful weekend!

Love,

April

Dear Divine Beings,

We are holding a silent auction, via email, from now until midnight of Saturday, June 26th for those who are interested in these gifts from DivineArchetypes.com. This auction is to benefit a San Diego yogini, Summer Autio, who is battling cancer for the third time in four years. To place a bid on these treasures, please email April at liveinbloom@ymail.com by midnight, June 26th. She will contact all bidders to announce the highest bid by Sunday afternoon. There will be a yoga class and silent auction held Sunday, June 27th in dedication to our beloved friend, Summer Autio. Read more about her and the auction items from DivineArchetypes.com below. Also, a photo of each auction item and a picture of Summer are attached.

Summer Autio is a local yoga teacher who has given so much of her love and support to her community and friends. Now, we are gathering to give back and help her anyway we can. She was first diagnosed with ovarian cancer four years ago, and under the care of western medicine, the cancer quickly went into remission. It came back the following year, and she battled it once again using western medicine practices. Now that the cancer has returned a third time, she has decided to only engage in alternative therapies, as well as visit her oncologist regularly to monitor her progress. This has been a very challenging and expensive journey for her, and she is fortunate to have such wonderful and loving friends who have donated several thousands of dollars to cover alternative therapies. The upcoming yoga class and silent auction are one of many fundraisers organized to assist with payment of these treatments. We truly appreciate all love and support from everyone!

Many Blessings to All!

The gifts from DivineArchtypes.com up for auction are the following:

The Tattvas Collection of Esoteric Essential Oils

Retail Value: $118

All oils are sourced directly from the grower/distiller in Indonesia, and are extracted via steam distillation from organically grown or sustainably wild-harvested sources. To provide optimal energetic protection, the oils are bottled in violet glass, and during the capping process, each bottle is nitrogen blasted to remove all oxygen. Labels are made from tree-free paper and printed with water-based inks. The collection includes 10ml each of Agarwood, Betel Leaf, Galangal, Kaffir Lime Leaf, & Massoia Bark. A booklet is included with your purchase for information on the healing qualities and suggested usage of each oil.

Golden Earth Amulet with Galangal Essential Oil

Retail Value: $250

The Golden Earth Amulet was hand-forged in Nepal by a master artisan using an ancient Newari technique. It is made from a copper core, fused with a 24K gold skin, and is set with a Golden Tiger's Eye stone. Upon completion, each piece is blessed by a Nepali holy woman, who is considered to be an incarnation of Vahrayogini. Also included, is a 10ml bottle of Galangal Essential Oil.

Green Tara Tibetan Thankga (15"W x 21"H, original, unframed) with Kaffir Lime Leaf Essential Oil (10ml)

Retail Value: $522

In Tibetan Buddhism, Green Tara is the Buddha of Active Compassion. She is also known as the Swift Liberator due to her readiness to instantaneously step into action to aid those who call upon her--indicated by her outstretched right foot. Her right hand, in the gesture (mudra) of generosity, indicates her willingness to grant material items, love, protection (rom fear, obstacles, and difficulties), and the Dharma. Together, her extended right hand and foot indicate her compassionate activity--the method aspect of the path to enlightenment.

Her left hand is in the mudra of The Three Jewels, where the joining of her thumb and ring finger symbolizes the unity of compassionate bliss and wisdom. She holds her left hand and foot close to her body, indicating her imperturbable inner peace and her complete control over her subtle inner energies--both achieved through practicing the wisdom aspect of the path.

Green Tara's color represents activity and success (material as well as spiritual), and the purified aspect of the air element, which activates growth, helping our good qualities bloom so that we may be liberated from cyclic existence.

Her mantra is OM TARE TUTTARE TURE SOHA. OM represents Green Tara's body, speach, and mind. TARE, TUTTARE, and TURE all mean to liberate. TARE liberates from suffering (the first Noble Truth), TUTTARE liberates from the causes of suffering (the second Noble Truth), which are various disturbing emotions, also known as The Eight Dangers--pride, ignorance, anger, jealousy, wrong views, miserliness, attachment, and doubt--and the contaminated actions they motivate. TURE liberates from disease, indicating the third Noble Truth, cessation of suffering and its causes. Practicing the fourth Noble Truth, the path to enlightenment, leads us to such liberation, which is our ultimate purpose and is spiritual success. SOHA means, "May this come about." It indicates our desire to plant the root of the path to enlightenment in our hearts.

More information will be included with the Thankga and Essential Oil as well.

Fundraiser info at LuluLemon

            Dear Friends,

Friends are putting together this fundraiser at Lululemon...this is what was sent out...

Hello dear friends of our fellow yogini Summer!

We are contacting you today to announce (and request auction items for) a yoga class and silent auction to be held Sunday, June 27th (9am) in honor of our friend Summer. The class will be led by Michael Fukumura at Lululemon in Carlsbad. Please feel free to donate an item to be silently auctioned off after yoga. All proceeds will go directly to Summer. Last year was a great success--and we always have fun doing it--so please joing us!

The yoga class is free of charge, although, you are welcome to donate cash instead of (or in addition to) buying an auction item/service. We look forward to a powerful, uplifting class and seeing your bright, beautiful presence...all in dedication to Summer!

Here is a link to Lululemon!

http://lululemon.com/carlsbad/carlsbadforum/events/event-22553-2010-06-27

If you have an item you would like to include in the auction, please bring it to Lululemon at the Forum in Carlsbad. They have a donation sign-in sheet and will keep the items safe between now and then. If you have questions, feel free to contact the coordinator of the auction, April at liveinbloom@ymail.com

Thank you for all of your love and support!

Summer AutioSummer Autio brings more than 25 years of mind/body practices to her teaching. Her spiritual path has been accelerated by incredible health challenges...these challenges have placed Summer in a spiritual fire that most would be burned by. Summer has used these challenges to deepen her love for yoga ...to deepen her expression of love and compassion not only in her yoga classes but in moment by moment life's experiences...using the heat of the fire to burn away what is no longer useful...to allow all experiences to move us towards LOVE.

3rd shot on Saturday...

My friend/nurse gave me my 3rd shot on Saturday afternoon and although she was great at it...I became very sick a few hours later...it lasted throughout the night and then slowly improved on Sunday...it's a good thing to respond this way ...at least it's what I'm told...

I feel so many things right now about my life...about how I'm going to live and then I feel  a sense of accepting and the peace that comes after being scared ...I can't always rely on what I feel so I'm teaching myself to go with what is...it's to be expected...to be a bit scared and then to be ok again...it's a lot to take in ...a lot to do ..the treatments are a full time job and I need more time to adapt...in Mexico it was 12 hours per day of non-stop treatments...and now ...for me it's 5-7 hours of staying with the commitment to see this through...

thank you for all that you do to support me...I hear your voices of love and care and it keeps me going...the text messages...the responses to my blog ...the emails...the loving messages...thank you for not forgetting about me...I  miss teaching...I miss working ...and yet...I need to rest...I just want to say thank you for now....much love everyone...hope to see you soon...

...a bit overwhelmed...

Trying to adapt to my home program and get used to the treatment protocol and adding life back in the mix...it's a bit overwhelming but I think it's doable...it's a full time job...had a little meltdown today...giving myself moments of losing it and then it's back to refocus...I get my 3rd shot later today...maybe that is what is giving me some stress...I don't really care for shots...especially the kind with long needles and pain...oh well...bring on the bravery ...love to all
